“Make opportunities to be kind to each other as mothers. It doesn’t matter how our babies are conceived, born, fed, slept, pre-school or home, vaccinated or not… We are all doing the best we can to raise decent humans. We need to give each other a break as women & mothers”

“Hearing the real lived experience of another mother is a reminder that you’re not alone, but also that you have tools in your kete that you can share. That you have a worldview that is shaped by not always having the full story. That you can change that by listening and sharing.”

“Two things; even though I trained as an ECE childhood teacher it doesnt give you all the answers, and I’ve accepted that it’s okay to have breakfast cereals for any meal of the day!”

“Don’t sweat the small stuff, And remember to look after and take time for yourself. This was something I was really terrible at and would get mum guilt every time. But I soon realised how important it was not only for myself but the people around me. I am a much better mum when my batteries are recharged and I have regained my sanity after a hectic day/week. My favourite thing to do for myself is to walk down to the coffee shop early on a Sunday morning, have a have in coffee and flick through the mags, I find it very good for the soul! Lastly enjoy your precious bundles of joy as they grow up so fast!!”

“I will sleep when I’m dead, and I could have a clean house but why do that when you could play power rangers/paw patrol/pj masks/spiderman instead. From mother who is consistently up at 5.30am”

Rebekah, 32 – Abigail (3y) & Edward (9m)

“Do what works for you, feeding, sleeping, working or not, happy parents make happy kids”

Who is Rocket & Who is Goldie

Rocket + Goldie are the nicknames of our two sons.

Rocket aka Jasper – The fastest kid on a bike you ever did see. His multi coloured hair and one dark, one light eye lashes are truly unique. This small social human is my first love. Full of dance, creativity, is a sensitive, cautious and a deep defient soul that has questions – loves to know how things work, sort, organize and help.

Goldie aka Oakley – Golden sunshine kissed hair that makes his sneaky cheeky grin infectious. This love is super cuddly, tough and strong – almost always the one to start rough and tumble with big bro, a quick thinker, very independent, always on the go and he will bust out dance moves to any tune.
